What You’ll Do
As a Blockchain Engineer on our core infrastructure team, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance P2P networking components that power our blockchain stack. Your work will directly impact the scalability, reliability, and security of our network.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient, resilient P2P networking layers using concepts like gossip protocols, DHTs (e.g., Kademlia), and NAT traversal.
- Harden our systems against common P2P vulnerabilities, applying best practices in network security.
- Build monitoring, debugging, and tuning tools to optimize network performance and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and scale secure, containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
- Contribute to the architecture of a next-gen decentralized network stack with blockchain-specific performance and consensus considerations.
- Optionally: Work alongside data scientists to integrate machine learning for network optimization, anomaly detection, or adaptive routing.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of P2P networking principles, DHTs, and related protocols.
- Hands-on experience implementing or defending against networking attacks (e.g., Eclipse, Sybil, DoS).
- Proficiency in monitoring tools, packet inspection, and performance tuning in distributed environments.
- Solid experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
- Strong programming skills in one or more systems languages (Rust, Go, C++, etc.).
- Familiarity with blockchain networking architectures and consensus mechanisms.
- Bonus: Experience applying machine learning to networking problems or protocol optimization.
Nice to Have
- Contributions to open-source P2P or blockchain projects.
